Discover the new registration process with the Office of Motor Vehicles.
The Colorado Department of Revenue online renewal service allows you to renew one or several vehicles in a single transaction using a credit card or electronic check.
Colorado law allows a one-month grace period after a registration is due for renewal, excluding Special Mobile Machinery (SMM) off-highway tabs, Persons with Disabilities placards and temporary permits.

Temporary Registrations may be issued for up to 60 days from date of purchase.

Changes to Renewal Tab Envelopes
Renewal tab envelopes are new being issued in two styles. The new style shows Jefferson County Clerk and Recorder as the return address and has a State of Colorado Official Mail stamp in the top middle. Samples below:
