Citizens' Advisory Council

Meetings

The Citizens' Advisory Council is a group of about two dozen community members who meet every other month to provide input and feedback to the sheriff and the district attorney.

Purpose

The council, or board, assists officials in determining the needs and desires of the community, and also assists in developing goals and objectives for the department. The council is responsible for evaluating the overall effectiveness of the Sheriff's Office, and may make recommendations for improvement.

Members

The Sheriff looks to the Citizens' Advisory Council for valuable input. Board members must be residents of Jefferson County. We are currently not seeking new members.
