Temporary Election Workers (Judges)

Election workers are essential to ensuring that elections are a success. One of the most important ways you can get involved in promoting the freedom to vote and keeping our elections fair and accessible is by serving as an election worker.

We will begin hiring for the 2024 Presidential Primary on or about December 4th, 2023. Thank you for your interest in becoming a temporary election worker!

Requirements for Temporary Election Workers (Judges)

  • 18 years of age or older (under 18? Click on the Student Election Workers tab)
  • Registered to vote in Colorado
  • A resident of Colorado
  • Physically and mentally able to perform the duties
  • Free of any conviction for fraud or election offenses
  • Pass a background check
  • Take an oath of office
  • Available full time as needed during the election period, including some weekend days
  • Not a candidate or a family member of a candidate on the ballot
  • Attend all required trainings
  • Arrange own transportation to and from work location
  • Provide own meals/beverages for shift
