RMMA is run by a staff of approximately 25 Jefferson County employees, organized by Administration, Operations, Maintenance, and Fleet services. The airport staff manages approximately 1,700 acres of property, to include the airfield itself, aeronautical and non-aeronautical ground leases, and supporting infrastructure.
There are approximately 50 businesses located on the field, and over 400 based aircraft. RMMA operates as a self-supporting enterprise fund of Jefferson County. Revenue from airport ground-leases and other airport user fees fund the operations of the airport.
In 2022, RMMA was the third busiest airport in Colorado in terms of operations (takeoffs and landings).
