Peer Recovery Coaching

Peer Coaching

Are you struggling with substance use, mental health or looking to explore recovery? Then let one of our peer coaches at Jefferson County Public Health assist you in discovering what pathways you can take to live a happier and healthier life.

At JCPH, you can meet one on one with our peer specialists by calling the JCPH Clinic and requesting an appointment for peer coaching. Peer coaching is a low-barrier and low-commitment program. There are no requirements to sign up or stay in the program and peer coaching is free to everybody!

What Do Peer Recovery Coaches Do?

Peer coaching is the process of giving non-clinical counseling to support long-term recovery. Peer coaching is delivered by a peer coach who has lived experience of recovery and has been trained to guide others through the recovery process. • Improved access to social supports
  • Improved housing stability
  • Improve engagement and satisfaction with services
  • Increased treatment retention
  • Decreased utilization of emergency services
