Moving Forward Through COVID-19: Vaccination, Testing and Community Resources - Dec. 17, 2020
Jefferson County Public Health, along with the Board of County Commissioners, are hosted a telephone town hall about COVID-19 on Thursday, Dec. 17 at 5:30 p.m. During this over-the-phone meeting, Jeffco Public Health experts discussed important COVID-19 issues in Jefferson County, including how we are doing with COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations and what to expect as vaccinations become available. We will also provide information on what we as a community can do to slow the spread and the resources available to the Jeffco community. Preparing for a Healthy Fall with COVID-19 in Our Lives: August 24
On August 24, JCPH hosted a telephone town hall focused on how to protect your family from COVID-19 over the coming months. We covered a variety of topics, including a brief update on COVID-19 trends and the county’s response, how to safely celebrate Labor Day weekend as well as what to expect this flu season. We also had a Jeffco resident share their story about getting and overcoming the virus. Following the short presentation, community members had an opportunity to ask questions and engage with the presenters.

Asamblea pública telefónica: Preparándonos para un otoño saludable con el COVID-19 presente en nuestras vidas
El día 24 de Agosto, el Departamento de Salud Pública del Condado de Jefferson organizó una asamblea pública telefónica enfocada en cómo proteger del COVID-19 a su familia durante los próximos meses. Hablamos sobre una gran variedad de temas, incluyendo una breve actualización acerca de las tendencias del COVID-19 y la respuesta del condado, cómo celebrar el Día del Trabajo de manera segura y qué esperar esta temporada de gripe. También, tuvimos un residente del condado de Jefferson que compartió su experiencia de contagio y superación de la enfermedad del COVID-19. Después de la breve presentación, las personas tuvieron la oportunidad de hacer preguntas e interactuar con los presentadores.

COVID-19 Data Dive with JCPH Epidemiologists: June 26
We all know data is critical to responding to COVID-19, but that doesn’t mean it’s always easy to understand! JCPH shares a deep-dive into our newly updated data dashboard and a review of current data — including data on COVID-19 cases, demographics, testing and geography.

The Next Normal — Looking Ahead to COVID-19 Recovery: May 27
On May 27, JCPH hosted a telephone town hall in English and Spanish focused on recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic. JCPH’s Executive Director, Dr. Mark B. Johnson, provided a brief update on COVID-19, followed by a series of panelists speaking to what long-term recovery could look like, how to cope and the many resources available in Jefferson County to support our community during this time.

A Conversation with the BCC: April 22
The Board of County Commissioners hosted a virtual telephone town hall on Wednesday, April 22, from 5:45-6:45 p.m. to provide an update about how the COVID-19 crisis is affecting our Jefferson County community, its businesses and those in need. Following the short presentation, community members had an opportunity to ask questions and engage with the panel.

Coping with COVID-19: JCPH & Jefferson Center
On April 9, Jefferson County Public Health (JCPH) and Jefferson Center hosted a telephone town hall focused on maintaining mental health and well-being during the COVID-19 pandemic. JCPH’s Executive Director, Dr. Mark B. Johnson, provided a brief update on COVID-19 in Jefferson County. Jefferson Center’s CEO, Kiara Kuenzler, and several other experts shared mental health and wellness tips as well as local resources to support our community during this time. Community members also had an opportunity to ask questions and engage with the panel.
