Airport Advisory Board
Thomas Williams (Board Chair): Jefferson County Resident At-Large. Thomas is a Retired Marine Colonel where he was an air traffic controller, airspace and airport planner, and commander at all levels throughout the globe. He also directed the Navy SEALS and Marine Corps advanced technology programs as well as serving in various leadership assignments in five of this nations’ conflicts. He currently is a technology consultant to various entities primarily in support of Department of Defense efforts.
Matthew Karnes: Jefferson County Resident At-Large. Matthew started his career in finance operations for various banking and mortgage servicing companies, focusing on operations, reporting, budgeting, and analysis. Currently, he is in a finance leadership role at Denver International Airport. His background includes: budgeting, capital planning, contract services, and procurement.
Mark Hegg ATP, CFII, ME: Neighboring Business Owner. Mark has over 27,000 hours of flight time. Mark was a pilot for United Airlines for 29 years. He is the owner of Hegg Aircraft Sales and Training. He has type specific training in Barons and King Airs.
Randy Holliday: Neighboring Business Owner. Randy has spent 30 years as an international entrepreneur and business professional. He owns an aircraft and a hangar at the airport and is intimately involved in the aviation community.
Jay Knutson: Neighboring Residential Property Owner. Jay has been a serial entrepreneur for nearly 50 years. Most recently having owned the John Deere dealership in Longmont. His experience runs the fields of high bandwidth communications, investment banking and venture capital, and large mainframe computer architecture and database design. Jay learned to fly at RMMA in January 1975 and has been based at no other airport. He currently is a partner in a BE55 Baron and an executive hangar at RMMA.
Stephanie Troller, CEcD: Neighboring Jurisdiction. Stephanie is the Senior Economic Development Officer for the City of Westminster, where she oversees business development. She is a certified economic developer and has her Master’s in Public Administration. Her background includes development, policy, and community outreach.
Phil Rosnik: Current RMMA Tenant. Phil is a retired United Technologies Senior Executive and led heavy mx, structure and electronic manufacturing business units. Phil is also Chief Mentor Pilot for the Colorado Wing of Angel Flight West, and bases his TR182 at RMMA.
