Commissioner Tighe was first elected in 2012 and again in 2016 for his second and final four-year term as Jefferson County Commissioner. He served as the chair of the board and the Jefferson County Law Enforcement Authority Board in 2018.
He served on the Criminal Justice Coordinating Committee; Interstate 70 Mountain Coalition; Jefferson County Communities That Care Key Leaders; Jefferson County Corrections Board; Jefferson County Economic Development Corporation Board of Directors and Board of Governors; Jefferson County Emergency Communications Authority Board; and Metro Area County Commissioners.
Commissioner Tighe was appointed by Gov. John Hickenlooper to a three-year term on the Denver Metropolitan Area Regional Air Quality Council in 2018. He also chaired the Jefferson County Audit Committee for four years.
An auditor and attorney, Tighe was audit director for the Colorado Department of Transportation, where he worked for 24 years. Prior to working for CDOT, Casey practiced law in Arvada for three years. After retiring from CDOT, he was office manager for Bayer and Carey PC, a law firm. A University of Colorado graduate, Tighe earned a law degree from Creighton University.
