Born 1844, died 1910Adam C. Shock, born in Bavaria, Germany, immigrated to Ohio with his parents in 1851, and moved to Colorado in 1864. He worked in the mines at Breckenridge until 1872 when he moved to a 470 acre farm on Turkey Creek near Morrison. Several years later he moved to a farm east of Golden (near present West 32nd and McIntyre) where he farmed until his death.
