District 1 Commissioner
2009 to 2015
Republican
Faye Griffin was sworn-in to her first term as Jefferson County Commissioner for District 1 in January 2009. She was re-elected to a second term and sworn-in January 2013. It is believed that she may have the distinction of being the only elected official in Jefferson County history to be elected to three separate county offices: county commissioner, treasurer and clerk and recorder. She served as Jefferson County Clerk and Recorder from 1999 to 2007 and Jefferson County Treasurer from 2007 to 2009. She was re-elected as Jefferson County Clerk and Recorder in November 2014 and served in this position from 2015 to 2018. She first joined the county staff under Clerk and Recorder Norm Allen. She worked in the clerk's office for 24 years, ascending to chief deputy under Joan Fitz-Gerald before running for election. Griffin is a Jeffco native who graduated from Golden High School.
