Jefferson County utilizes telephone town halls as a tool to provide updates and to interact with community members regarding important county business. This popular way to reach out has helped the commissioners stay in touch with thousands of Jefferson County residents, provided a platform for asking the board questions, and provided feedback to the commissioners on issues facing the county.

Aug. 7
On Aug. 7, 2023, the Jeffco Board of County Commissioners hosted a telephone town hall discussing the following topics:
- The property valuation process recently completed by the Jefferson County Assessor's Office,
- How American Rescue Plan Act funds are being deployed to offset the economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, and
- How the Together Jeffco Plans and Regulations Update will shape the landscape of the county.

March 29
The State of Jefferson County
On March 29, 2023, the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners hosted a telephone town hall recapping successes and projects in 2022 and initiatives in 2023, specifically:
- Jefferson County's initiative to update its land use, wildfire, and evacuation planning and regulations,
- Housing and homelessness initiatives, and
- Where American Rescue Plan Act funds are being deployed.

Update on Jefferson County's Budget and Funding Challenges
The Jefferson County Board of County Commissioners is hosting a telephone town hall on the county's budget and funding challenges Thursday, September 29 at 6 p.m. We will be calling 50,000 randomly selected phone numbers to participate, but you don't have to wait to see if you are chosen (see our How to Participate section, below).
During this over-the-phone meeting, commissioners will be joined by members of the county's Strategy, Innovation and Finance Department to discuss TABOR refund checks, American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) projects and the budget development process.
June 16, 2022 at 6 p.m.
Jefferson County's Transportation and Critical Needs Projects
The Jefferson County Board of County Commissioners is hosted a telephone town hall on the county's transportation and critical needs projects on Thursday, June 16 at 6 p.m. We called 50,000 randomly selected phone numbers to participate.
During this over-the-phone meeting, commissioners welcomed several members of the Development and Transportation Department to discuss the current and future projects, critical needs and staffing shortages in our transportation divisions, as well as touching on services like snow plowing and the new bike plan.

April 18, 2022 - 6 p.m.
The Board of County Commissioners held a live telephone town hall on the evening of April 18 and called 50,000 randomly selected phone numbers. During this one-hour, over the phone meeting, the commissioners discussed the county's funding challenges. Jefferson County Chief Financial Officer Dr. Stephanie Corbo and Strategy and Budget Director Dan Conway, presented information on the financial realities the county is facing, TABOR and how our community is impacted by the county's funding challenges.

The Jefferson County Board of Commissioners hosted a telephone on the county budget and the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) on Monday, Dec. 6 at 6 p.m. We called 50,000 phone numbers to participate. During this over-the-phone meeting, commissioners were joined by Jefferson County Chief Financial Officer, Dr. Stephanie Corbo; Strategy and Budget Director, Dan Conway; and Housing, Economic and Employment Services Director, Kat Douglas.

Sept. 9, 2021 at 6 p.m.
Mental Health
The Jefferson County Board of Commissioners hosted a telephone town hall on mental health on Thursday, Sept. 9 at 6 p.m. We called 50,000 randomly selected phone numbers to participate. During this over-the-phone meeting, commissioners welcomed Jefferson Center for Mental Health Executive Director Dr. Kiana Kuenzler, Sheriff Jeff Shrader, and Michelle Gonzales from Jeffco Public Schools who talked about several important aspects of mental health that are affecting so many aspects of our lives.

COVID-19 Updates
The Jefferson County Board of Commissioners hosted a telephone town hall, calling out 50,000 randomly selected phone numbers, on Monday, May 17 at 6 p.m.
During this over-the-phone meeting, the commissioners along with Jeffco Public Health experts, discussed important COVID-19 updates. The commissioners and county staff also discussed the countywide strategic plan, the budget for 2022, and the American Rescue Plan Act funds. December 17: Moving Forward Through COVID-19: Vaccination, Testing and Community Resources
Jefferson County Public Health, along with the Board of County Commissioners, hosted a telephone town hall about COVID-19 on Thursday, Dec. 17 at 5:30 p.m. We called 50,000 randomly selected phone numbers to participate.
Jeffco Public Health experts discussed important COVID-19 issues in Jefferson County including how we are doing with COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations and what to expect as vaccinations become available. We will also provide information on what we as a community can do to slow the spread and the resources available to the Jeffco community.

August 31: Budget
The BCC is hosted telephone town hall on the county's budget on Monday, Aug. 31 at 6 p.m. The commissioners discussed important issues in Jefferson County regarding our budget, such as CARES Act funds, information on how the COVID-19 crisis and other factors that are affecting our budget and the Jefferson County economy.

May 27: The Next Normal — Looking Ahead to COVID-19 Recovery
On May 27, from 6:30-7:30 p.m., Jefferson County Public Health (JCPH) hosted a telephone town hall focused on recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic. JCPH’s Executive Director, Dr. Mark B. Johnson, provided a brief update on COVID-19, followed by a series of panelists speaking to what long-term recovery could look like, how to cope and the many resources available in Jefferson County to support our community during this time. Following the short presentation, community members had an opportunity to ask questions and engage with the panel.

April 22: COVID-19
The BCC hosted a virtual telephone town hall on Wednesday, April 22, 5:45-6:45 p.m. and provided an update about how the COVID-19 crisis is affecting our Jefferson County community, its businesses and those in need. 2019 Telephone Town Hall
The Board of County Commissioners hosted a live telephone town hall May 8 and approximately 100,000 randomly selected phone numbers were called to participate in this one-hour over the phone meeting.
