Transportation and Mobility Plan

Countywide Transportation Plan

The Countywide Transportation Plan (CTP) was adopted in 1998 and updated in 2002 through the incorporation of an addendum. The CTP encompasses all of Jefferson County, including the incorporated municipalities, but is not intended to replace plans adopted by each jurisdiction. Rather, the Countywide Transportation Plan is intended to be a dynamic tool designed to enhance coordination among jurisdictions by identifying transportation projects, needs, and priorities. This 2014 addendum replaces the previous addendum and supplements the 1998 Countywide Transportation Plan.

Transportation and Mobility Plan

Jefferson County is excited to announce the kick-off of the Together Jeffco Plans and Regulations Update! Together Jeffco is a two-year process which combines efforts to update the Comprehensive Plan (CP), Transportation and Mobility Plan (TMP), Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP), Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan Evacuation Annex (CEMP EA) and the Unified Land Use Code (ULUC). The future adoption of the TMP will supersede the Countywide Transportation Plan as the guiding document for transportation in Jefferson County.

The Transportation and Mobility Plan (TMP) will provide a long‐term vision for the transportation network in unincorporated Jefferson County and serve as a guiding document for improvements to local and regional roadways as well as multimodal transportation networks. The county’s goals for the TMP are to be more strategic with existing and future investments within the transportation network, and to improve mobility and access through methods that are safe and convenient while minimizing vehicle congestion and associated impacts. The TMP will also recognize evolving technology and future trends in transportation systems and service delivery.
