News from 2020 Census

The 2020 U.S. Census Bureau data shows the Resident Population of the United States as of April 1, 2020, was 331,449,281. This represents a 7.4% increase from 2010. Colorado (5,773,714) showed a 14.8% population increase from 2010 and gained a seat in the House of Representatives. New York lost a seat by only 89 people. 2012 Jefferson County Demographic Update

This is a comprehensive look at the county’s demographic profile as of January 1, 2012. The data used for this update was primarily derived from 2010 US Census data. The 2010 US Census data is considered the baseline demographic data for population and housing estimates until the next decennial census occurs in 2020.

For the 2012 Jefferson County Demographic Update, the sources used to construct the various tables, charts, estimates and forecasts included: the Colorado State Demography Office, the US Census, American Community Survey (ACS), Colorado Department of Labor and Employment, Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG), Jeffco Public Schools, and the Jefferson Economic Council (JEC).
