Chafee Program
Jefferson County's commitment to foster youth does not end when they exit the foster care system. The Chafee Foster Care Independence Program assists youth in successfully transitioning into adulthood and offers the skills and support youth need to become self-sufficient.

Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) provides financial assistance to families who need child care.

Child Protection
Jefferson County Human Services has a child protection hotline to report suspected abuse and neglect, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Child Support Services ensures all children receive financial and medical support from each parent.

Colorado Works TANF
Colorado’s Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF) program, also known as Colorado Works, provides financial assistance, job preparation and work opportunities to needy families with children on a temporary basis, to achieve economic and family stability.

Fatherhood
Responsible Fatherhood Program provides education and support for individuals desiring to enrich their lives and their children's lives while providing peer-based engagement, motivation, and indefinite support to individual fathers and families.

FIT Court
FIT Court is a voluntary, family-based program within the dependency and neglect system, and created to work with parents and children who have become involved with the Children, Youth, and Families Division because of child abuse or neglect that is directly related to the parent’s substance abuse. The purpose of FIT Court is to offer families treatment, services, and support to establish and maintain sobriety and provide safety for their child(ren).

Foster Care
Arapahoe, Douglas, and Jefferson Counties have joined forces and created the Collaborative Foster Care Program to recruit, train, certify, and support foster families throughout the metro-Denver area.

Kinship care is defined as the full-time nurturing and protection of children by kin or by someone with a significant relationship to the child.
