The District Attorney's Consumer Fraud specialist handles a variety of consumer complaints and fraud inquiries in addition to those received by our Power Against Fraud program.
However, the District Attorney's Office cannot be a substitute for small claims court or any other civil remedies nor can the District Attorney's Office give legal advise. The specialist may assist in determining if a complaint is civil or criminal, and refer to the appropriate agency.
Our ability to help consumers is often limited. The District Attorney's Office does not have jurisdiction over all forms of consumer fraud complaints, but if you have questions you can contact the Consumer Fraud specialist at 303-271-6931.
