The Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office is disappointed to announce that the 2020 Senior Law Day has been cancelled as a result of the pandemic outbreak of COVID-19.
This valuable and popular event is ordinarily held the first weekend in June.
The event historically offers educational seminars for seniors and others who may be facing challenges with their aging parents. Topics include:
End of Life Issues
Investment Fraud Wills / Trusts
Powers-of-Attorney, Conservatorship and Guardianship
Tips for Probate
"Our population is aging and older adults will be facing complicated issues," says District Attorney Peter Weir, "Information provided at Senior Law Day can change the quality of life for seniors and their adult children."
While Senior Law Day will not be held in 2020, the District Attorney’s Office still offers a Fraud Hotline 303-271-6980 where seniors can talk to a live person about their concerns.
