The District Attorney's Office and the Denver Sturm College of Law developed the Externship Immersion Program, a unique and innovative program for law students which immerses them into the daily operation of the criminal justice system. Students do research and writing on legal issues and may work in the courtroom on their own cases while supervised by prosecutors. This is the only program of its kind in Colorado.
Legal intern/externships are available to second and third year law school students. The programs include legal research and writing or supervised practice in the courtroom under the Student Practices Act.
For spring and summer 2019, resumes and letters of interest in the research and legal writing program may be submitted, at any time, to Meghan Rathbun
