Commissioner Tighe was elected to serve his second term in November, 2016.
He currently serves as Chairman Pro Tem for the Jefferson County Board of County Commissioners and the Jefferson County Law Enforcement Authority Board. He serves on the following boards and commissions:
In April 2018, Governor Hickenlooper appointed Commissioner Tighe to the Denver Metropolitan Area Regional Air Quality Council to serve as a representative of local government in the Denver metropolitan area for a term expiring April 30, 2021. The Council is the lead agency for air quality planning. It prepares air quality plans for the Denver metropolitan region to demonstrate and ensure long-term compliance with federal air quality standards.
An auditor and attorney, Tighe was audit director for the Colorado Department of Transportation where he worked for 24 years. Prior to working for CDOT, Casey practiced law in Arvada for three years. After retiring from CDOT, he was office manager for Bayer and Carey PC, a law firm.
Tighe previously chaired the Jeffco Audit Committee for four years.
A University of Colorado graduate, Tighe earned a law degree from Creighton University. He lives in Applewood with his wife, Laura, and two sons.
