Commissioner Tighe was elected to serve his second term in November, 2016 and sworn in on January 10, 2017.
He currently serves as chairman pro-tem for the Jefferson County Board of County Commissioners and the Jefferson County Law Enforcement Authority Board. He serves on the following boards and commissions:
Commissioner Tighe is the county's alternate on the Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG), Chatfield Watershed Authority, Boundary Control Commission (first alternate), the Jefferson County Economic Development Corporation Board, Criminal Justice Coordinating Committee, Colorado Counties, Inc. Legislative Committee, and the WestConnect Corridor Coalition.
An auditor and attorney, Tighe was audit director for the Colorado Department of Transportation where he worked for 24 years. Prior to working for CDOT, Casey practiced law in Arvada for three years. After retiring from CDOT, he was office manager for Bayer and Carey PC, a law firm.
Tighe previously chaired the Jeffco Audit Committee for four years.
A University of Colorado graduate, Tighe earned a law degree from Creighton University. He lives in Applewood with his wife, Laura, and two sons.
