The Jefferson County Public Health (JCPH) annual report is written, designed and published each year by the JCPH Health Communications office. It is distributed each year as an insert in local newspapers and reaches approximately 65,000 homeowners and businesses in Jefferson County. The report is published each year during the first full week of April, just in time for National Public Health Week. It is also placed on our website for electronic viewing and downloading, and is provided as an educational handout in the community.
2017 Annual Report
Thank you for exploring our JCPH 2017 Annual Report! This year’s annual report theme is, “Achieving the Best Health Possible for All People.” At JCPH, we believe everyone deserves the best health possible. To achieve that, we must look beyond the surface and tackle inequities and the underlying causes of poor health and disease risk.
Read our 2017 Annual Report to learn more about why and how we’ve begun to address health equity and the root causes of health — from expanding access to our WIC clinics, to convening the community to talk about food insecurity, to working to reduce tobacco and e-cigarette use among low-income populations.
A special thank you to our community partners — public health truly is a team effort and we appreciate your support and partnership. We look forward to continuing to work with the community to improve the health of Jefferson County.
