To Main Jeffco Campus - From Major Roads

Interstate 70 East

Take I-70 east to exit 260 (6th Avenue/Colorado Springs). Veer left following the 6th Avenue signs, which will take you onto Colorado 470. Exit east 6th Avenue. Drive straight across U.S. Highway 6 (West 6th Avenue) to Johnson Road. Take the first left and drive through the roundabout to Jefferson County Parkway.

Interstate 70 West

Take I-70 west to exit 262, West Colfax Avenue. Veer right on Colfax, and right on U.S. Highway 6 (West 6th Avenue). Turn right on Johnson Road. Take the first left and drive through the roundabout to Jefferson County Parkway

6th Avenue

Take U.S. Highway 6 (West 6th Avenue) to Johnson Road, which is the first traffic light after Colfax Avenue. Turn right on Johnson Road. Take the first left and drive through the roundabout to Jefferson County Parkway.

Highway 93

Take Highway 93 south. Highway 93 becomes U.S. Highway 6 (West 6th Avenue). Take U.S. Highway 6 to Johnson Road. Turn left on Johnson Road. Take the first left and drive through the roundabout to Jefferson County Parkway.

Colorado 470

Take C-470 west toward Golden. Exit east 6th Avenue. Drive straight across U.S. Highway 6 (West 6th Avenue) to Johnson Road. Take the first left and drive through the roundabout to Jefferson County Parkway.

From Downtown Denver

  • Take 6th Avenue (U.S. Highway 6) west to Johnson Road (approximately 11 miles)
  • Turn right on Johnson Road
  • Take the first left and drive through the roundabout to Jefferson County Parkway

From Jefferson County Airport

  • Exit airport to Wadsworth Boulevard. (Colo. Highway121)
  • Take Wadsworth south to Interstate 70 west
  • Follow I-70 west for approximately seven miles
  • Exit at Colfax Avenue; turn right on Colfax.
  • Follow Colfax to West 6th Avenue; turn right on 6th Avenue
  • Follow 6th Avenue a short distance to Johnson Road
  • Turn right on Johnson Road
  • Take the first left and drive through the roundabout to Jefferson County Parkway

Taking Light Rail

RTD's FasTracks W Line, the west line that runs from Union Station to the Jefferson County campus, opened in April, 2013. You can find all of the schedules, fares and information on how to ride on RTD's Light Rail webpages. You are now leaving the jeffco.us website to an external site The RTD Light Rail station is just outside the main Jefferson County Administration and Courts Facility.

If you're visiting the Jefferson County government campus, see the "Jefferson County Complex Map" above to see where the other buildings on campus are in relation to the Administration and Courts Facility. If you're heading into the City of Golden, you can take the green call-n-ride bus, which makes regular stops at the station, into town.

Parking at the Administration and Courts Facility

Public parking is available in several locations at the Administration and Courts Facility. Please see the parking diagram (PDF) for directions to the public parking lots including the accessible (ADA) parking. 

Traveling into the Colorado Mountains from Jefferson County

Enjoy your trip to the mountains completely car-free by using transit options such as Bustang or Pegasus, which can take you from Denver Union Station or the Federal Center (easily accessed by the Golden RTD light rail station) to Idaho Springs, Frisco, Vail, Avon, and beyond.  All of these communities have transit systems to help you get where you want to go, or use local taxi services, as well as Uber & Lyft.
