Business & Workforce Center operates a full-service career center in Jefferson County and staffs auxiliary centers in Gilpin County and Clear Creek County. All services are free to Colorado residents.
Standard services for a self-directed job search, including tools and workshops, are available Monday - Wednesday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; Tuesday 8:30 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.; and closed Thursdays.
With advanced notice, Business & Workforce Center can provide interpreters and translators free of charge. The center can also provide hand-outs and materials in alternative formats.
Business & Workforce Center recommends attending foundational workshops to strengthen your job search effectiveness and maximize your resources whether you are presently unemployed, under-employed or looking to change careers. Veterans and their spouses receive priority of service for all services offered in the career centers.
In order to access these services you must register in Connecting Colorado, which is part of a state-run system. Registration gives you access to a job bank that includes employment opportunities throughout Colorado. You can either register using computers available in a career center, or register from your home computer. It usually takes at least 30 minutes to complete the registration process.
