  1. NOTICE: Forestry management work is currently underway at Sawmill Campground at White Ranch Park that will affect sites 11, 12, 13, & 14. There will be vehicular and equipment traffic on the service road that passes these campsites, as well as noise associated with the work being done, which will take place Monday thru Thursday from 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. This work is slated to be completed by the end of summer, but may impact the serenity of your camping experience and it is highly encouraged to choose other campsites during these times.

The largest park in the Jeffco Open Space system, White Ranch Park has 20-plus miles of multi-use trails over both gentle and rugged terrain. Natural-surface trails criss-cross the property with the exception of two Sensitive Areas, including Ralston Buttes, which can be accessed only by permit.

A 0.9 mile segment of the Longhorn Trail is designated as bike only, and one way use. This is part of our Designated Use Pilot Program.

Camping IconCamping
White Ranch Park is one of two Jeffco Open Space parks that allows for permitted camping. Sawmill and Sourdough Springs Campgrounds offer semi-primitive, tent-only, walk-in camping in designated sites is available by online permit. Required camping permits must be obtained at least 24 hours in advance. Permits are $12 per campsite, per night and valid for up to three consecutive nights. Camping is limited to a total of six nights within a 30 day period.
