The Jefferson County Clerk to the Board's office is a passport application acceptance facility.  Appointments are encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome.

In a Hurry?

You may expedite your application for an additional $60 fee.  You will receive your passport in approximately two to three weeks.

Emergency Travel?

If you have an emergency situation, traveling in two weeks or less, you may go to the passport office in Aurora to get your passport. You must first make an appointment through the U.S. Department of State's Online Passport Appointment System or by calling 877-487-2778.

Payment Information

  • There are two (2) separate fees due with your application.
    • Application processing fee made payable to the "U.S. Department of State" - Checks and money orders only.
    • Execution / Acceptance fee payable to "Jefferson County" - Credit and debit cards, checks, and money orders accepted.
