BY APPOINTMENT ONLY
Routine Service: 10 to 12 weeks, door-to-door, from date of application.
Expedited Services: 4 to 6 weeks, door-to-door, from date of application.

The Jefferson County Clerk to the Board’s office is a passport application acceptance facility.

In a Hurry?
You can request expedited services for an additional $60, processing time is 4-6 weeks.
If you have an emergency life-or-death situation, you may go to the passport office in Aurora to get your passport. You must first make an appointment through the U.S. Department of State’s Online Passport Appointment System or by calling 877-487-2778.
In-Depth Passport Information
- There are two (2) separate fees due with your application.
- Application processing fee made payable to the "U.S. Department of State" - Checks and money orders only.
- Execution / Acceptance fee payable to "Jefferson County" - Credit and debit cards, checks, and money orders accepted.
We offer passport photo services for $5.00.
