Coal Creek Canyon Study Area

Coal Creek Canyon Study Area is closed to public access. Jeffco Open Space is implementing a Conservation Planning process to develop a formal plan for the area. Coal Creek Canyon Study Area lacks formal trails, parking, and facilities. Safety hazards and sensitive resources have not been designated or marked on the ground. For visitor safety and resource protection, Coal Creek Canyon Study Area is not open to visitation by the public. The Ranch Region Resource Management Plan, scheduled for completion in mid-2018 will provide goals, objectives, and implementation strategies for management of the Coal Creek Canyon area.
