Mission
The missi
on of the Jefferson County Criminal Justice Planning Unit is to facilitate the data-driven policy making of the Jefferson County Criminal Justice Strategic Planning Committee, whose mission is to develop consensus, set priorities, make choices, and promote an accountable, coordinated justice system in Jefferson County.
Vision
The vision of the Jefferson County Criminal Justice Planning Unit is to:
- Provide the highest quality facilitation and support of the strategic policy planning process in the Jefferson County criminal justice system.
- Promote coordination around shared local justice issues among the executive, legislative, and judicial branches of government at the municipal, county, and state levels.
- Develop innovative and useful problem-solving and analytic techniques for addressing local justice issues.
- Employ highly trained, knowledgeable, skilled, and talented professional planning and support staff.
- Enable Jefferson County to become a national model of excellence for local criminal justice policy planning and coordination.
