Boards & Commissions: Planning Commission

Number of openings: 0

Duties:
Makes recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners regarding vacations, deeds, plats, easements and rezoning applications. Official hearings are conducted each week. Field trips are required.

Required or suggested qualifications:
Jefferson County resident

Meetings:

  • First two Wednesdays of each month,
    5:30 p.m. Briefing, 6:15 p.m. Public Hearing
  • Third Wednesday of each month - no hearings
  • Fourth & fifth Wednesday of each month,
    1:00 p.m. Briefing, 1:45 p.m. Public Hearing

All briefings are held in room 1568 of the Jefferson County Administration & Courts Building, which is located at 100 Jefferson County Parkway in Golden.

All hearings are held in Hearing Room One of the Jefferson County Administration & Courts Building.

Number of persons and length of terms:

  • Nine (9) regular members, three (3) year term
  • Three (3) alternate members, one (1) year term

Remuneration:
$20.00 per meeting
$20.00 per field trip
